Customizing the Quote
Below the format selection, you can choose what to include in the quote by ticking or unticking checkboxes. This allows you to control the level of detail presented in the bid.
Include in document:
- Bid notes – Includes bid notes at the bottom of the quote. These typically contain specific terms, conditions, or additional details relevant to the estimate.
Include in table:
- Subheadings – If checked, subheadings will be included in the quote. If unticked, the quote will only show main categories and their total costs, excluding both subheadings and detailed line items.
- All detailed line-items – If checked, all individual line items will be displayed. If unticked, the quote will summarize costs under each subheading without listing individual items.
- Free-of-charge line-items – If checked, items that have no cost for the client will be included in the quote. If unticked, they will be excluded.
- Comments and specifications column – If checked, a column for comments and specifications will be added. This allows for additional details about each item, such as work descriptions or special notes.
Column display options:
- Quantity column – Shows the quantity of each item in the quote.
- Unit column – Displays the unit of measurement for each item (e.g., kg, m, pcs).
- Price column – Includes the unit price for each item.
- Unit-based price column – Allows you to break down costs per specific unit. For example, if you’re building 6 sheds, enabling this column lets you see the cost per shed for each line item.
- Total column – Shows the total cost per item, calculated based on the quantity and unit price.
These options allow you to adjust how detailed or high-level the quote appears, ensuring it meets your client’s needs.
